F.A.Q

How will I be taught?
Dancing becomes fun the moment you begin your lessons, You will be taught the basic patterns of the most popular dances of today. Emphasis will be made on rhythm and timing and good basic habits for the dance floor.
While taking your lessons the instructor will be assessing your accomplishments, and, when you are ready, will invite you to join the intermediate group.

How much will I learn?
In the beginner group sessions, three dances are introduced, two Latin and one Ballroom dance are customary. The degree of dancing you will achieve varies depending on the consistency of attending classes, your desire, goals, and commitment.

What should I wear?

The dress code is casual.  Some students come to class straight from work and are dressed accordingly, while others arrive in a pair of nice jeans and a smart top. As for shoes, for the ladies a closed toe shoe is advisable and one that will stay on your feet. No Flip - Flops please! For men, regular street shoes are perfect. The biggest faux pas would be to come to class dressed for the gym.

Do I need a partner?
No, you do not need to bring a partner. We have partners waiting for you!  All group classes are a mixture of couples and singles who have the same goal; a desire to dance and have fun.

Help! I have two left feet.
Dancing is as easy as walking. Hundreds of people have been successfully taught at L.T.D. With the help of our experienced, patient instructor, your dream to become a dancer will become a reality.

How long will it take?
You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The number of classes will depend on how proficient a dancer you would like to become in each dance.

Is it difficult?
At L.T.D. learning is fun and easy. Patterns are broken down and simplified to speed along the learning process.
With over twenty years experience, rest assured, your feet are in good hands!

Why learn?
Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence, improved personality and making new friends. Beyond these, dancing is a superb physical conditioner, providing fun without working at it! Dancing is exercise in disguise.
Learning to dance will open up a wonderful new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round social calendar.
